Knysna Dreams – October 2017
Throughout the late summer, 2017, I kept my out for blue stuff. I wanted to do some outdoor photographic sessions with the October light in which the emphasis would be on blue. As this wish evolved I began to paint natural materials shades of blue. In this series, named with regard Knysna, (part of the garden district, in the Western Cape, South Africa, to the east of Cape Town,) the material set-up consists of simple materials, grape vine windings, dried hosta leaves, and our driveway. The driveway’s blue cast is due to dinnertime light and the white balance dialed toward this blue cast.
